How to make money in F&B? (Or stop or prevent from losing money!)

Consider an operations management agreement with ZGolf F&B. This is our business! An operations agreement will guarantee the owner a profit in the F&B department. ZGolf Food & Beverage currently operates eight golf course F&B operations throughout the state of California under the 19 Pub & Grille and Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center brands. All of these properties were losing substantial sums of money before ZGolf assumed management. Now, each one is successful. Your facility generates income and your guests are satisfied, all with out the headache of operating it yourself. You operate the golf course, your expertise, we operate the food & beverage, our expertise.

John & Linda Zaruka began their business in Ventura in 1986 at the Buenaventura Golf Course and over the last 21 years have refined a successful formula that provides excellent service to our golf and banquet clientele, while delivering a strong financial return. The ZGolf formula is flexible enough for any golf club with substantial banquet potential. ZGolf will assess your operation and determine how your club can benefit from an operations agreement.

There are several options for a management agreement. These include:

Outright purchase and lease of premises
ZGolf purchases the F&B portion of your business, including all the liquor license, furniture, fixtures and equipment. The owner is paid a lease based on sales or a flat negotiated amount.

Partial lease
Same as above, but the original furniture, fixtures and equipment is part of the lease and remains the owner’s property.

Joint Venture
The property owner and ZGolf golf form a new company and the F&B is spun off. ZGolf and the owner now are partners in a new operation that will pay the owner rent plus allows the owner to share in the F&B profits.

Management Contract
All income and expenses remain the property of the owner. ZGolf will be the contract operator and will receive a management fee based on performance.
